A review of the world famous Panerai watches

Want to buy a gorgeous watch for a loved one other than the usual Taghuer and Rolex? Well then you should invest your money the right way and get yourself a Panerai watch.  Today I’ll be writing a review on the Panerai watches. My focus will specially be allotted to the Panerai Luminor Hand-Wound that my wife has.

Panerai was formed back in the 1800s in Florence and it teamed up with the Italian navy. It later on started to develop top class watches and still is one of the leaders in the watch making industry. Regardless of the name, the Historic Collection of Panerai is contemporarily styled. This beautiful collection includes Panerai Luminor Marina, Panerai Radiomir and the Panerai Luminor Base. These watches are hand-wound mechanical with swan's neck regulator. The power reserve in each of the watches that are included in the collection is an astounding 56 hours! As a watch fan, it is really hard to beat. The watch has a sapphire glass which is made of corundum, the thickness is about 3.45mm and they’re coated to be non-reflective; the material they’re made of is usually stainless steel.  All the watches are able to resist water up to 300 meters. The best part about the whole collection is that it’s coated with sapphire crystal on the back as well. The ‘Marina’ and ‘Radiomir’ also feature a special chronograph mechanism which is just too good to be true. The final touch that is added to this beautiful collection of watches are the alligator straps that are oiled. This makes them resistible in water. The Luminor Hand-Wound is my favorite watch from the whole collection. All the ticks of the seconds are just brilliantly designed.

The contemporary collection of Panerai is amazing, and, at least that’s what I think. The Swiss Replica Luminor Hand-Wound easily beats all competition. The Luminor Marina Automatic is available is steel, platinum or titanium casing. Because of the automatic movement you miss out on the watch’s power reserve which cut backs to 48 hour and the back of the watch isn’t see-through as well. A thing that I found cute is that the window for the date is round not a square or a rectangle, consider this an add-on. The Marina watch has leather and steel straps. Choose the one you love. The Luminor GMT matches the Marina on loads of levels, the only place they are dissimilar is on the 9 o clock hand.

The bottom line is it doesn’t matter what Panerai watch you go out and buy for your loved one or yourself as each one of them has a different feature that makes them differentiate from each other and from my perspective the watches Panerai makes are equally amazing. If you think you want to stand out in the crowd and that you want to look presentable and one of a kind every time you go out, A Panerai watch is what you need.
